[March 18, 2025 – Blog] In my decades in the advertising business, we weren’t worth much if we didn’t get solid results. Our mantra was always, “If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.” This informed so much of our work, thinking and innovation. We watched results like hawks, making midcourse corrections quickly and effectively for optimum outcomes.
Getting great results is something I expect in every endeavor I undertake. If it is worth my time and energy, it better pack a powerful punch of positive results. One program we’ve proudly watched and monitored is our Women Who Mean Business program at UT McCombs. While we can always improve, we have been thrilled with the results as we celebrate our 97% net promoter score and watch our graduates’ careers soar!
To shine a spotlight on these fantastic results, we are dedicating an upcoming webinar to the women and the impact of this program. Dean Lillian Mills of McCombs School of Business will guide a lively discussion with me and Lynn Utter, my co-instructor, as we applaud a panel of four graduates of the program sharing their success stories since our time together. We hope you’ll register to hear their stories and learn how women supporting women has propelled their lives and careers forward.
I leave you with a sentiment inscribed on a wooden box pictured at the top of this newsletter, given to me as a gift for my trailblazing and cowgirl spirit. I cherish it because it came from a woman who believed in the Women Who Mean Business program and encouraged me to bring it to life. It is a statement about leadership because, of course, “All Leaders Are Born From Women.”
