Meaningful Reunions

[April 25, 2023 – Blog] It is hard to believe that the Women Who Mean Business program we teach at UT McCombs School of Business has now graduated three Cohorts of outstanding female leaders. As we recently graduated Cohort 3, we invited all past graduates of Cohort 1 and 2 for a WWMB Reunion program before a combined celebratory dinner.

Reunions can be profound providing a chance to reconnect, recharge and reflect on what you’ve accomplished since you last gathered with a group. For WWMB, reconnecting was beyond thrilling, but bringing together three Cohorts was an important part of the program. Networking and making meaningful connections while supporting each other, and encouraging each other to lead with passion, continues our mission beyond graduation day.

However, I was most excited to learn that so many of the women have done exactly what the program aims for them to do—expand their roles, tackle new challenges, take on promotions and have a greater impact on the companies they work for and lead.

As University of Texas President Jay Hartzell once said, “What we are doing with the Women Who Mean Business program will have a lasting impact on generations to come.”

I am so proud of the courage and leadership of our graduates. It is beyond gratifying to know we are making a difference and that they are bringing up the next generation of women to be their best.

We are now accepting applications for Cohort 4, which will start in September. This cohort is filling quickly, so I encourage you to visit the website if you’re interested or know a high-achieving business woman you’d like to nominate.

Leading with passion,
